Connecting CookieBot to Your Website


CookieBot is a Consent Management Platform (CMP) that can be implemented to your website. You can use it to ensure you obtain consent from your website visitors before you make use of cookies and any other possible online trackers. The main goal of the service is to make your website General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and CCPA-compliant.

Important: the integration is compatible with Pro sites only.

Connecting CookieBot to your website

In order to connect CookieBot to your website on SiteCliq, please do the following:


1. Create or authorize into your CookieBot account and add your website's domain name(s) to it;


Important: it might take up to 24 hours for the scan to get finished completely after you add the domain name(s).

2. Copy the Domain Group ID from the CookieBot account:



3. Open the settings of your site, navigate to the "Integrations" section, locate "CookieBot" and click Connect:


4. Paste the Domain Group ID into the intended field and click Connect CookieBot:



5. Publish your website for the changes to take effect.


Done! Your website visitors will start getting the consent cookie banner and receiving an opportunity to go through the Cookie Declaration from now and on.


Note: By default the banner is configured with the strictest settings possible. To customize those you can use some initial steps tips, see the SDK guide or visit the CookieBot's Help Center.
