Connecting Hotjar
Hotjar is a web analytics tool that gives you an in-depth understanding of your site visitors' behavior. With Hotjar, you can create heatmaps, which provide a visual representation of clicks, taps, and scrolling behavior.
Follow the instructions below to connect Hotjar to your SiteCliq site.
Important: this feature is available only for Pro sites.
Step 1. Accessing the Hotjar ID
1. Sign up or log in the existing account at Hotjar.
2. Open the Sites & Organizations tab and click on Install tracking code next to your site:
3. Choose the Add code manually option in the new pop-up window:
4. Copy the Site ID number:
Step 2. Connecting Hotjar
1. Open the Settings of your site and navigate to the Analytics tab:
2. Click on the Hotjar tab and paste the requested ID in the corresponding field:
Step 3. Verifying the installation
1. Go back to the Hotjar and press the Verify installation button:
2. Click on the Verify installation button in the new pop up window:
You should be navigated back to the list of your sites. The website in question will have a green indicator and Collecting data status next to it:
