Transferring a domain purchased from SiteCliq to another registrar

Even if you have purchased a domain at SiteCliq, you can later transfer it to any alternative domain registrar.

To transfer your domain, follow the steps below.

Transferring a domain purchased at SiteCliq

1. Firstly, make sure that your domain was purchased from SiteCliq. For that, open the Settings of your site and navigate to the Domains tab:

2. If the domain you want to transfer is provided by SiteCliq, you'll see the following:
3. Send a request at support@sitecliq.com to receive Auth/EPP Code for the transfer. The request must mention the domain name and come from the email of the SiteCliq account where it was purchased.

4. Contact the domain registrar you want to move to and send them the transfer code you were provided with.

Important: when the transfer is complete, your subscription billing will be carried out by your new registrar. Some domain providers may charge you for the next year ahead.

Bear in mind that if the site associated with this domain remains at SiteCliq, the domain will get disconnected. In order to put the site back online, you'll need to re-connect your domain according to the instructions in the article Connecting a domain you own.

If you need to transfer a domain not to another registrar, but to another SiteCliq account, check out the guide Transferring a domain to another SiteCliq account.
