Hiding website from search engines

All Pro sites created on SiteCliq are set to be indexed by the search engines by default. However, in case you want to block your website from indexing by search engines and appearing in the search results, you can manually do this in the settings.

Tip: to check whether your site was indexed by the search engines, see the article Site indexing.

Hiding website from search engines

1. Firstly, go to the Settings of the website and proceed to the General info tab:

2. Scroll down till you see the Visibility in search results tab. Toggle on the option Block this website fom being indexed by the search engines*:
3. Publish the website for the changes to take an effect.

Important: the site will remain published and accessible by a direct link, but it won’t be found and indexed. However, if a site had been indexed before, it will remain in the search results for some time until Google sees it’s no longer accessible.

If you want to block only the particular page on your site from indexing by search engines, check the article Hiding a page from search engines.
