Adding a Cookie Banner


A cookie banner is a block which pops up on top of your website and warns your site visitors of the cookies in use. The banner can be added with just a few clicks on your website at SiteCliq, and the text can be customized accordingly.

Adding a cookie banner

1. For that, open the Settings of your site, navigate to the Cookie banner tab and press Enable cookie banner:

2. In the opened General section you can include a custom text to ensure full compliance with local regulations or leave the default one:

3. Besides, you can edit the button text, choose the theme (light/ dark) or the type of your cookie banner:



Note: bear in mind that the Center (compact) bar doesn't have a button.

4. By clicking on the different types of cookie banner, you can preview how it will be displayed on the live site:


5. Don't forget to publish your site​ for the changes to take an effect.


Note: cookie banner settings will not be stored in the site history versions. Regardless of the version of the site, the latest saved cookie banner settings will be used.
